Glen Goldentree is the creator of
"The Many Moons of Astra," writing, drawing, inking, and
coloring the comic. He is also one of two people who run the
site you are currently at, Goldentree Wands, which he runs with his
wife, Willow. Glen is the one who creates all of the wooden
items you will find on this site.
Glen was born March 7, 1977, in a small town in Colorado.
Since then he has traveled all over the United States, and currently
lives in Boise, Idaho. His artistic skills are largely
self-taught, though he has received inspiration and encouragement from
a variety of sources including his mother, friends, and several high
school teachers.
"The Many Moons of Astra" is the realization of a
childhood dream for Glen, whose fondest goal through most of his
younger years was to be a comic artist. This was a dream that
fell by the wayside after high school, and in fact this comic
represents Glen's first real drawing effort since 1995! The
inspiration for this comic came from his beautiful wife and many of
Glen and Willow's friends who work at a new-age book store in Boise.
Glen's other interests include film and theatrical acting, singing,
computers, video games, camping, fishing, and black tar
heroine. Just kidding about that last one. Glen spends
about 5-10 hours a week on this comic due to its extensive
coloration process. Glen's other favorite web comics are Nodwick
